Not particularly simple

By Dael - June 4, 2005

I look at Colin's intelligent, wry face on these pages and smile at his characterisation as the guy with his head in the marinara. Obviously he lived long enough to create a few legends, but in truth he was finally someone who cared, looked for answers in life, took a few gambles and didn't opt for good enough.

He assumed, as situations required, the good old boy persona - it was an effective guise after all that pleased his larrikin heart - yet this was the least of his aspects.

Col, we love you for always knowing the answer to questions, for never being too tired to give things a go, for that fantastic smile, elegant humour and your incredible kindness.
