Many of these came in more recent years through mutual friends such as Al Parkhouse (and most recently Winsor Dobbin), but - as busy as Col usually was - he always found time for a quick lunch or a coffee for a catch-up when our schedules permitted.
It's shockingly unfair that those bright moments in the company of a warm and deeply intelligent man have been taken from us so soon.
